Jessica Hastings is an avid reader, schooled in journalism and creative writing, who can often be found putting pen to paper and creating her own literary prose.

She is currently the Louisville Writing Career Examiner for Examiner.com where she writes articles based on anything and everything writing.

As Suite101's Romance Fiction Feature Writer, Jessica has interviewed such authors as Sarah Bower, Helen Hollick, Shana Galen, Susanna Kearsley, actor Stephen Jared, and that's just a few. She also reviews books of all kinds and has written articles on cancer, weapons, sports and more.

Since 2003, she has recieved honor and publications for various works including but not limited to: International Library of Poetry semi-finalist in International open poetry contest, Poem "Mommy" published in anthology "Eternal Portraits," American Poets Society member, Poem "Daddy" published in anthology "Whispers," International Poets Society nominee for poet of the year - 2004, and published short story The Wild Hunt on All Hallows Eve.

Currently she is following her heart into the intense genre of romance novels, which is made obvious by the content on her blog; Laugh Love Write. Here you can read about the musings of a reading writer who talks about anything and everything to do with the writing industry and then some.
