Leigh D’Ansey’s debut novel; Kincaid’s Call is ripe with romance and perfect for a quick summer read. Available from Wild Rose Press, the book is available for download in Adobe PDF format, Mobi Pocket, MS Reader or straight from the web itself.
Kincaid’s Call has a captivating story line and promises to be the first of many great romances to come from Leigh D’Ansey. The characters experience real problems, making them easy to relate to and hard to forget, especially with their witty dialogue that will keep readers smiling.
Meet Nathan Kincaid From Kincaid’s Call
The main man of the story is a perfect hero. Trying to piece together his fractured life, Nathan is burdened by the loss of his brother and the windfall of sorrows that follow. Wounded and scarred, Nathan runs into a woman from his past, a woman he has never been able to forget.
Meet Kate Summers From Kincaid’s Call
The heroine of Kincaid’s Call plays the perfect damsel in distress while being the stubborn and prideful feminist. Like Nathan Kincaid, Kate is wounded, scarred, broken and battered by the horrors of her past. Somehow she has managed to take her pains and turn them into the driving force behind her stellar career. Kate is no longer the hurt teenager Nathan remembers but a successful and drop dead gorgeous, spitfire of a woman.
Kate has become a woman of analytical databases and intense planning, even going so far as to create a checklist for her ideal man. A check list Nathan naturally blows right out of the water.
New Zealand as a Romance Setting in Kincaid’s Call
Leigh D’Ansey is a born and bred New Zealander whose love and passion for the majestic country shows vividly throughout her work.
The Volcanic wonders of Rotorua and the unique intricacies of the New Zealand landscape make for one of the most beautiful and romantic settings for a love story. The scenery is detailed wonderfully in Kincaid’s Call, whisking readers away to volcanic hot springs, waterfalls and mud baths.
A Little about Kincaid’s Call Author Leigh D’Ansey
Leigh D’Ansey submitted her first partial manuscript in 1989 (typed the old-fashioned way with many discarded pages), followed by a long road to publication. “A true testament to the power of a writer’s perseverance” as she would say. During those struggling years, Leigh made her way through various day jobs, raised a family, wrote some short stories, a little children’s literature and had some freelance work published. Leigh also founded and published her very own magazine, which has since been sold.
